Christina Taylor

Christina was born and raised in the Bay Area and started practicing yoga in 2011 as a form of exercise, then later discovered the healing benefits of the ancient tradition as she served as her mom’s caregiver. Yoga became her respite. In the midst of uncertainty at home and stress at work, Christina's mat became her safe place to focus only on the breath in her body. In an effort to deepen her practice, Christina completed a 200-hour yoga teacher training program at Square One Yoga Collective in 2016 and started teaching in 2017. She is grateful for this journey and look forward to holding a space that honors you right where you are.

There is wisdom in the body. When care and attention are directed toward the body, breath, sensations, thoughts, and feelings, the possibility to transform becomes accessible. Christina's classes focus on alignment, encouraging students to explore mindful awareness and self-inquiry cultivating resilience, strength and flexibility while inviting ease to embody wellness in every aspect of life. Classes incorporate meditation, chanting, pranayama, asanas, flowing movement sequences and music. It is her hope that each student leaves class feeling strong with a deeper connection and appreciation of themselves.

Outside of yoga, Christina has been employed in the biotechnology industry for almost 14 years.
